Constand, who said she thought it was an herbal product, told police she fell into a stupor, unable to rebuff him as he molested her on the couch.
Cosby, 79, is charged with drugging and violating Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. But it foreshadowed how attorneys for Cosby may savage Constand for telling different versions of her story over the years.
The defence has argued the two had a romantic relationship, that Ms Constand was not incapacitated, and that the sexual encounter was consensual. "I also told Mr. Cosby I (had) trouble seeing him", she said. She said that when she awoke, Cosby was naked and forced her to sexually gratify him with her hand. "I wasn't able to fight him away".
From there, Johnson said she felt like she was "under water" and didn't regain full consciousness until Cosby had her on his bed with her dress pulled down. Cosby, who faces up to 10 years in prison if found guilty, repeatedly shook his head during her testimony.
Andrea Constand, the chief accuser in the sexual assault trial against Bill Cosby, took the witness stand in a Pennsylvanian courtroom on Tuesday, June 6. A former assistant to Mr Cosby's Hollywood agent, she told the jury that the actor drugged and sexually assaulted her at a hotel in 1996. However, despite the intricacies that would be explained during Day 2 of the the trial, Johnson's allegations were viciously met with disparaging attacks from Cosby's defense team while portions of her mother's testimony were deemed inadmissible from the record by the judge in the Constand case, as noted by Page Six.
Nearly 13 years after Andrea Constand's assault, this is the first time she is publicly telling her side of the story.
At the same time, she said, Cosby became more flirtatious and suggestive - grabbing her thigh during one encounter at his home and attempting to unbutton her trousers in another.
The massage therapist said that she could not move for the next 20-30 minutes. Constand had by the time of the interview with Mason moved back to her native Canada.
At times she came within a metre of one of the world's most famous entertainers as she told the jury he was a sexual predator who used his fame and power to ingratiate himself with women he then drugged and sexually assaulted. "I said, 'I did not, I just want to know what you gave me.' He said, 'Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait" and he wanted to speak to me near where the incident occurred".
Johnson told those present that Cosby gave her a pill that made her semi-unconscious and then asked her to fondle him, Miller testified. She said she didn't tell anyone about the alleged assault at the time out of loyalty to the women's basketball team, which she managed.
"At some point he sat very close to me and commented on my trousers". Cosby became a mentor to Constand, and he would sometimes invite her to dinners at his house either alone or with others.
The prosecutors also cross-examined Constand for being late to file a complaint.
As she described feeling woozy after ingesting three pills he offered her, Cosby sat up in his chair.
"I felt Mr. Cosby's hands groping my breasts under my shirt". She said that, at the time, she felt Cosby was taking the time to introduce her to people because she was "a Canadian person in a new city".
Constand's attorney, Dolores Troiani, also spoke of her bravery, in a brief statement to reporters outside of the courthouse Tuesday evening. He said Johnson made the disclosure while pursuing a claim that she had developed debilitating stress from her secretarial job at the William Morris Agency.
Cosby avoided looking directly at Constand while she was in court, though he appeared to be listening intently, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
She hopes to show Constand changed her mind about the date of the alleged 2004 assault after reviewing them.
