Her other suitors, Eric Bigger and Peter Kraus, got their walking papers on the three-hour ABC finale.
As expected, Rachel wasn't pleased with Peter's decision.
In an emotionally charged season finale, it was revealed The Bachelorette star had chosen Bryan Abasolo. There he was on the live stage sitting on the coach with Rachel, across from Chris Harrison, surrounded by hundreds of fans in a studio.
It picked up from the previous week with Peter still acting commitment-phobic in Spain.
Later, Bryan told Rachel that he could tell something was up. "And then they're going to Miami after that to have an engagement party there, too".
Now that the cat's out of the bag and the Neil Lane ring's on the finger, Bachelorette victor Bryan Abasolo (aka Dr. Bryan) is no longer hiding on social media. After a lot of back-and-forth, Peter finally lets Rachel have it by saying she would have a mediocre life without him. "I see my forever", she told him.
Bryan promised he won't be a groomzilla, with Rachel chiming in, "He's not like that". Then Peter comes out and he still can't believe that she chose Bryan. "I love you and I'm in love with you and I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else", she said.
'The night before, it was hard, and I knew I did not want to have two guys standing at the end, knowing I was only going to say yes to one.
Sharing their quirks, Bryan said, "The one little pet peeve: She always falls asleep on me!"
"Great. Go find someone to have a mediocre life with", Peter snapped. While we aren't sure who she'll pick in the end, we DO know that she's now in love and planning to get married. I think they both had unrealistic expectations and hoped they could change the other's feelings. Rachel said she was "confused".
But another Bachelorette also-ran, Kenneth Diggy Moreland, shown the door in week three, thinks the opposite.
But despite this, she is now happily engaged and said, "It feels good to have him [Bryan] with me and by my side".
He apologized for the mediocre life comment on the show and Rachel snapped, "I'm living my best life".
How I feel after watching the past 10 minutes of #TheBacheloretteFinale. When they met up again for the last time, Peter explained why he wasn't able to ask the big question to Rachel.
Next up were Rachel's final two dates of the season. Eric was a gentleman about it and Rachel insisted things might have worked if they'd had more time.
Take a look at the video below to see Rachel Lindsay telling Peter Kraus The Bachelorette is not for a guy like him. She went on a date where she bought him an absurdly expensive watch, and they basically attacked one another in front of the poor watch salesman. "Like that's all I could do, I was so happy".
"Bryan is such a good person and a good man", Lindsay said of Abasolo, whom she'd previously deemed "too good to be true".
