Apple is expected to release three new smartphones next month. This year's iPhone event is set to take place on September 12th, according to the most recent reports. Other images have shown a phone with mostly screen on the front.
Apple has always been expected to use the Qi wireless charging standard since it joined the Wireless Power Consortium earlier this year, but this new report from Macotakara claims the next-generation iPhones won't take advantage of the fastest inductive charging tech available. The shot fits with rumors that Apple is planning to use multi-layer circuit boards in the iPhone 8, although it's far from an actual confirmation. Rather, it will have an iris sensor for 3D facial recognition.
The company will reportedly unveil updates to the iPhone 7 models from previous year at the event as well. Of course, it goes without saying that the main attraction at Apple's upcoming event will be the highly anticipated iPhone 8, a device which may very well usher in the largest iPhone refresh Apple has ever seen. Only time will tell if there will be enough hype about this new model to finally jumpstart the sales of Apple iPhones phones again. The latest creation of Apple with a host of unique features will have a huge price tag of $1000 or approx Rs 65,000. Other specifications will include the new A11 chip on the iPhone, base storage variants starting at 32GB and going up to 256GB, according to reports. Worth mentioning is that WSJ is one of the most influential media outlets and it wouldn't confirm this date if it weren't true. As a backup plan, the company might consider Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, where several events were organized in past two years.
These apart, there is also rumors of Apple launching the new Apple Watch 3 which would mark the re-birth of sorts for Apple's renewed ambitions in this space.
A new Apple TV too is expected to be in the list of devices slated for a September launch. Cellular connectivity is rumored to be the major improvement for the third release. We will know if this date is accurate once invitation arrives; this usually happens a week in advance, which would be the 4th or 5th of September.
