In "Bad Blood" (2014), she brought an entire celebrity army to confront a frenemy who did her wrong. Etc. (Like why is the "new Taylor" still rehashing old feuds?) Still, there's a part of the song that is genuinely astounding - Taylor Swift, age 27, has a personalized voicemail greeting.
Kim Kardashian West (see: phone line, above) and Katy Perry also incur Swift's wrath, though in more subtle, but not any less scathing ways. Other speculations insist that the song would be called "Timeless" because Genius, a lyrics resource online, released a new page for a song called Timeless by Taylor Swift that said the lyrics are not yet available.
You can finally shake it off: Taylor Swift has released her new single.
The lyrics "I've got a list of names and yours is in red underlined" sure seem like a nod to the Burn Book in the 2004 film, where Regina George (Rachel McAdams) underlined her biggest target's names in red.
The star also sings about rising "up from the dead" and tells unnamed enemies that "you'll all get yours". I wonder now if she's throwing it out the window entirely. For her to delve into a different space and incorporate her own tune into it is undeniably unique.
Swift was back in the news last week as she triumphed in a lawsuit against a radio DJ in Denver who she said fondled her buttocks during a routine photo opportunity in 2013. "I don't like your little games/Don't like your tilted stage", she says, in what is most likely a reference to the innovative tilted stage that West showcased on his "Saint Pablo" world tour.
A preview of her new music is offered in a brief video announcement released by "GMA".
Taylor Swift revealed the release date of her new album "Reputation".
What I didn't expect, though, was how vengeful the song would be (maybe I didn't read closely enough into the snake images posted on her Instagram). Why? I made that b**ch famous'.
So, not too subtle!
Taylor Swift is done playing the good girl and is not staying quiet anymore.
However, the 36-year-old reality star did not crack a smile, which many speculate is due to the controversy around Swift's latest number.
