There may be a Galaxy Note 8 variant with 4GB of RAM

Samsung didn't immediately give a price as it unveiled the phone Wednesday in NY. All the company officials were quite enthusiastic at the event.

For those wondering whether the Note 8 will have the similar battery issues as the Note 7, Samsung has said that it learned its lesson and as a result applied new safety standards when making the phone. Most people thought that the failure of Note 7 means the end of Note series. The smartphone is big in size and is absolutely flawless to perform certain tasks, like, browsing, multimedia, and of course drawing and taking notes using the S-Pen, among other things.

The updated S-Pen, among others, is one of the key features of the Galaxy Note 8. I hope the Galaxy Note 8 is received well by the market so that morale of our employees can be boosted. They're not wrong, though, since the size of the Infinity Display is actually one of the new things that the phone brings with it. Here, it is also important to mention that the device features a dual camera set up at the back. According to Samsung market research, 85 percent of Note users say they're proud to show off their Note and recommend it to friends, and 75 percent say it's the best phone they've ever had. The whole body is water- and dust-proof, though the Note 8 will likely prove just as fragile as the Galaxy S8.

No other details about the pre-orders were given, but Samsung said the smartphone will be offered in four shades: Midnight Black, Orchid Grey, Maple Gold and Deepsea Blue.

The Note 8 will be available in stores starting September 15 in 40 nations, including Korea, the USA and the UK. Naturally the screen is a Super AMOLED with Quad HD+. The display follows an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 with a resolution of 2960x1440 pixels. Like Galaxy S8+, the device has full metal front and back panels with 3D glass. A lower f-stop indicates that a camera is capable of gathering more light, leading to better performance in the dark and excellent background blur favored by many photographers.

In US, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 base variant is priced between $930 (roughly Rs. 59,500) on AT&T and $960 on (roughly Rs. 61,500) on Verizon.

Samsung's flagship Galaxy Note 8 comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC in the US. Samsung's found that Note users are particularly demanding and high-functioning smartphone owners, so it built every feature it could think of into a single device that can be anything. The 6GB model with 64GB storage is rumoured to cost 6288 yuan (₹60,000), while the version with 128GB storage will cost 7088 yuan (₹68,000). The second shooter doubles up as a telephoto lens, offering 2x optical zoom.

The wide-angle camera has an aperture of F1.7. The device comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. There are many accessories, including but not limited to, improved camera lenses, a battery pack and an additional sensor. The fingerprint reader, which was clumsily placed next to the camera lens, is in the same awkward spot.

Koh also said Samsung's purchase of U.S. Harman International Industries Inc. was a "good" decision, adding the company will showcase smart speaker in the near future, although the release may not take place this year.
