With Galaxy Note 8 Samsung promoted its DeX docking station. The Samsung Note 8 Alpha Cradles are fully compliant with road laws, and come with a 3-year warranty. Though the company has not yet announced the India availability of the phone, it is likely to launch at same time in the country too (going by the company's past track record). In India, the number of registrations have surpassed 2.5 lakhs on Amazon and Samsung's official website.
The Indian iteration of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be powered by Exynos 8895 instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core SoC, paired with 6 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB onboard flash storage (UFS 2.1 module).
Don't get too excited about updating your Galaxy S8 version to Oreo just yet. It will also include Samsung's new AI assistant Bixby where the vision feature will be readily available while the voice feature will arrive in a couple of weeks. The differentiating aspect of the design is the cornered edges, which has become a signature of the Note series. The graphics are handled by the Mali-G71 MP20 GPU. The phone is available in two different colours: Midnight Black, and Maple Gold.
Coming to the camera setup, the Note 8 brings with itself Samsung's first attempt at including a dual camera setup with its phones. The dual camera setup features a 12MP wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/1.7 and another 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone can also deliver real-time bokeh effect (DSLR-like depth of field experience).
A plan on the launch of Samsung's AI speaker was first mentioned during a press conference at the IFA 2017 press conference in Berlin, Germany earlier this month. The company claims to have ideal photos from the camera even when it's dark or it's hard to keep your phone steady. It also includes an 8MP front-facing camera with optical image stabilization.
After an absence of more than a year, Samsung's Note lineup has a worthy successor.
It's quite a shocker because the Note 8 is not only expansive, but is also pressured by the exploding Galaxy Note 7 from a year ago. The Note8 is apparently Samsung's first flagship smartphone to come with dual lenses. There's also IP-68 water and dust protection.
Note 8's "Screen Off memo" allows users to take up to 100-pages of notes, without even unlocking the phone. What separates it from its sibling though is the smart stylus S-Pen.it is quite handy in taking down notes and quick annotations.
One of the greatest strengths of Samsung smartphones has been the S-Pen. The phone will be available offline at select retail outlets later in September. The company is also offering screen replacement as introductory offer.
