Now, how will you access the security update?
And that's kind of what we like and want to see more of, and the Nova have a few neat tricks, too. There's the 4.7 inch iPhone 8, the 5.5 inch iPhone 8 Plus with two cameras, or the 5.8 inch iPhone X with two cameras and a screen that runs nearly edgeless across the front of the phone, something we've seen from Samsung and LG this year, but not yet from Apple. Unlike its peers, however, the iPhone X offers Face ID.
Even so, Samsung Display's shipments of OLED panels to Apple in 2017 will be significantly lower than the original target of 80-85 million units set previously, said the sources.
It also always records a wide-angle picture with your close-up. Or at least, the person who took your phone won't be able to access your data. (That's pronounced "iPhone 10", for the curious.) As expected, Apple showed off a phone with an edge-to-edge screen, advanced facial recognition technology and no home button.
If they would have launched three phones and named them iPhone 8, iPhone 9 and iPhone X people would definitely be confused which model to buy. They all have the same processor and the same back-facing cameras. On the front is an 8-megapixels selfie camera with Auto Focus and f/1.7 aperture. A case in point - The Galaxy Note 8 comes with optically stabilised dual cameras, a 6.3-inch edge-to-edge display, nifty S-pen tricks, wireless charging, an iris scanner, facial recognition and a fingerprint scanner - All for 67,900 rupees, which is a whopping 20,000 rupees cheaper than the iPhone X.
With Apple having been criticized quite frequently for the paltry lifecycle of its products, the batteries included in both the iPhone 8 and iPhone X can certainly be considered important. Older batteries tend to run down quickly.
If you were disappointed by the fiery disaster that was the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung by all accounts had made up for it with the Galaxy Note 8. In real-world use, however, the phones will be pretty close in speed, but the Note 8's 6GB of RAM could pull it closer in benchmarks.
But stats can be a little deceiving. And it is certainly the most futuristic iPhone that Apple's ever produced.
Cutting-edge technology: If you want cutting-edge hardware, then you will have to pay for it.
Smartphone giant Samsung has many innovations when it comes to smartphone design.
Meanwhile, if the iPhone X isn't your speed, know this: there's one whole heck of a lot of options at Apple now if you need an iPhone.
Much like its sibling, the iPhone 8, X makes use of Apple's A11 Bionic chip and can charge wirelessly with a Qi charger.
Only one of the 12-megapixel back cameras, the main wide angle f/1.8 sensor, has optical image stabilisation - like the iPhone 7 Plus had a year ago. The infinity display has now become a standard for Samsung flagships and has gained mass critical acclaim for pushing the industry forward in a unique direction. The delayed launch date of November 3 (~6 weeks post the iPhone 8's launch) also appears to confirm this.
